Do I need to speak Chinese?
Nope. Full pinyin above every character, plus English on every page. Many of our readers are parents learning alongside their kids.
What age should we start?
Sprout (ages 4–5) works for most beginners, even older kids. Simple sentences, 5–8 characters per page. If your child already knows some characters, try Bud.
What's the format?
Digital PDF — instant download. Read on any tablet, phone, or computer. Print at home for a physical copy. They look great on iPads.
How do the levels work?
Each level follows YCT standards. New characters appear naturally in stories, and earlier vocabulary comes back in later books for review. No drilling.
